All my moss is grown and ethically harvested from its natural environment in Southwestern Vermont. All mosses are hand-picked, cleaned, and soaked by myself in fresh mountain water.
Mosses don't have a root system; they have tiny hair-like filaments called rhyzoids, which they use to grip to surfaces and substrates. Instead of roots, mosses soak up water through their tiny leaves, which makes them ideal candidates for terrariums and other humid setups.
Moss can withstand freezing temperatures and ships extremely well in winter. Unfortunately, I can't ship moss internationally at this time. -
